Since 1995, Juršinci (German Georgendorf) has been an independent town in the Lower Styria region of Slovenia. Before that time, the area of present day Juršinci was part of the city of Ptuj (Ger: Pettau). The following boroughs make up the town of Juršinci: Bodkovci, Dragovič, Gabrnik, Gradiščak, Grlinci, Hlaponci, Juršinci, Kukava, Mostje, Rotman, Sakušak, Senčak pri Juršincih and Zagorci.

Juršinci was first mentioned in official documents in 1320 and the Slovenian name of the town, Juršinci, was documented as far back as 1409.

The parish church of St. Lorenz was mentioned first in 1322 and remodeled in gothic style between 1517 and 1540. Inside the church is a notable Stations of the Cross created by Slavko Pengov.

The town has a population of 2,206 (as of 2002), most of them farmers. The agriculture in the area is focusing mainly on wine and fruit orchards.
