K-32 (Kansas highway)

Encyclopedia : K : K3 : K32 : K-32 (Kansas highway)

Kansas State Highway 32 is an approximately 35 mile route that runs from Lawrence, KS to Kansas City, KS. Its alignment has shifted since 1990, primarily in Kansas City, KS to replace the majority of the decommissioned K-132 roadway.

It was duplexed with U.S. 40 in Kansas City, KS for 3.5 miles, from K-132 (Turner Diagonal) to I-70. This ended when US 40 was realigned as a duplex with I-70 when the Kansas Turnpike Authority stopped collecting toll for all traffic traveling the turnpike east of K-7.

Its western terminus is just outside of Lawrence, KS at US 24/US 40 highways. Its eastern terminus is in Kansas City, KS at US 69 highway. Before 1993, its eastern terminus was at I-670 in Kansas City, KS.
