K.G. Karthikeyan

K.G. Karthikeyan (born in India) is an associate professor of biological systems engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Biological systems engineering broadly defines the major fields of agricultural engineering. Prof. Karthikeyan specializes in the fate, removal, and transport of nutrients and contaminants in surface/subsurface environments. He is currently involved in a number of research projects funded by United States Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

He is known for his generous sense of humor, his avid appreciation of the sport of cricket, and his ability to find spelling errors within the first 3 seconds of viewing any document you hand him. His other interest is a somewhat mysterious interest in basketball (especially within the National Basketball Association).
