KBPS is a high school radio broadcast station run by Benson Polytechnic High School students enrolled in the radio broadcasting program. From the 8:00am until 3:00pm, Kid Rhythm Radio provides kid-friendly music. After 3:00pm, the students can come in and play music more suited for them courtesy of the Teen Sound program. KBPS currently runs oldies from 2:00am until 8:00am Monday thru Friday and weekends from 2am until noon.

After 5pm, Portland State University rents out the 1450 AM frequency for their college radio station. KPSU broadcasts from 5pm until 2am on weekdays and from noon to 2am on the weekends.

KBPS-AM broadcasts in AM Stereo.
