KBRT

KBRT is known on air as KBRT AM 740. It airs religious programming for Catalina Island, Los Angeles, and San Diego. They broadcast at 20,000 watts during the day, but at night, they broadcast at 110 watts. They now broadcast in HD Radio. In areas outside of Catalina Island and areas south, east, and north of Los Angeles, listeners can tune into KCBS, San Francisco at night.
History
For a long period of time, KBRT was known as KBIG, airing Easy Listening music. In the 1980s, the station switched to a successful religious format.
