KEVN-TV

KEVN-TV, FOX 7, is a Fox affiliate based in Rapid City, South Dakota. It also operates a satellite in Lead, South Dakota, KIVV-TV Channel 5. Both stations are owned by Mission Broadcasting. Its transmitter is located in Rapid City.
Its current slogan is Your Black Hills News Leader.
History
KEVN signed on the air on July 4, 1958 as KRSD, a CBS affiliate with a secondary ABC affiliation. It changed its calls to KEVN in 1976.
In 1979, KELO-TV in Sioux Falls signed on a Rapid City satellite, KCLO-TV. KEVN then became a sole ABC affiliate It had shared ABC with NBC affiliate KOTA-TV up to that time. It swapped affiliations with KOTA in 1984 and became an NBC affiliate. However, in 1995 KEVN dropped NBC to join Fox.
KIVV signed on in the early 1970s.
