KFWD (channel 52) is an independent station in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Its transmitter is located in Cedar Hill, Texas. Owned by HIC Broadcasting, the station runs sitcoms, dramas, movies, talk shows, religious shows, broadcasts of WFAA-TV and a live sports talk show.

In 1988, the station signed on as a Telemundo affiliate. When NBC bought Telemundo and KXTX, they pulled the affiliation from KFWD. KFWD then picked up English programming dropped by both KXTX and KSTR.

There were rumors that Belo Corp. would buy KFWD, and create a duopoly with ABC affiliate WFAA-TV. As of April 2006, that has not happened. However, Belo does provide advertising sales assistance, certain technical services and facilities to support the operations of KFWD. Belo also operates KFWD.tv, the station's website, in a visual format similar to all Belo stations.
