KHAS-TV

KHAS-TV 5 is the NBC station in Hastings, Nebraska, USA, which is in the Lincoln/Hastings/Kearney market. The station is owned by Hoak Media Corporation, which also owns and operates sister station KNOP-TV in North Platte. The station also has two rebroadcast translators: K02HJ in Ord on channel 2 and K14IY in Holdrege on channel 14.
History
KHAS was founded by Fred A. Seaton, who also owned the Hastings Tribune newspaper and KHAS radio station in Hastings. In 1967, it was one of the first stations in the area to acquire color broadcasting equipment. KHAS-TV remained a Seaton family-owned station for more 40 years.External link
