KMZT-FM

KMZT-FM, known on-air as K-Mozart, is a classical music radio station located in Los Angeles, California. Located at 105.1 FM, the station is owned by Mount Wilson FM Broadcasters, ultimately headed by Saul Levine. Levine is the only independent commercial operator of a FM station in Los Angeles today.
The station started with the callsign KKGO and played traditional and contemporary jazz until 1989, when they switched to its current classical music format. This came due to the fact that down the dial, KFAC dropped classical music in favor of a popular music format. In 2003, the call letters were changed to the current KMZT, selected as to pronounce "Mozart".
KMZT bills itself as the most listened to classical music station in the Western United States, although its ratings are generally in the middle of the pack.
