KPSP-TV (Channel 2), commonly identified on the air as "KPSP," is the CBS-affiliated television station, licensed to Coachella Valley, with studios and offices in Thousand Palms, California. The station is owned and operated by Desert Television. KPSP is referred on the air as "CBS 2," as channel 2 is its official designation on all Coachella Valley area cable systems. KPSP is carried on channel 38 by all Coachella Valley non-cable systems.

In the interim, CBS programming came into the Palm Springs market via cable through Los Angeles' KCBS-TV. When KPSP went on the air, the Coachella Valley area cable companies displaced KCBS-TV (at KCBS-TV's request), and KPSP adopted the "CBS 2" moniker. KPSP airs local shows such as Eye On The Desert, a weekly arts and entertainment show for local entertainment in the Coachella Valley and has a CBS 2 Community Calendar. KPSP also airs a Sunday local home remodeling show called Desert Homebuilders. KPSP is a partner of the local Coachella Valley newspaper called The Desert Sun.

Rich Fields, KPSP's former Chief Meteorologist (8/02 - 4/04), is now the announcer on the CBS gameshow, The Price is Right. Fields has held that position since April 4th, 2004.
