KQEG-CA is a low-power television station in La Crescent, Minnesota, serving the Eau Claire, Wisconsin television market as a FamilyNet affiliate on channel 23. Prior to January 27, 2006, the station was also an affiliate of UPN. The station is owned by White Eagle Partners.
In addition to network programming, KQEG also carries high school sports, selected parades, and a handful of local programs including Bargain House and Coulee Conversations, a local talk show.
On January 27, 2006, KQEG announced that they would drop UPN effective immediately [link] and switch to more general-interest and local programming (most likely due to the formation of the CW Network from the merger of UPN and The WB). As of about February 4, 2006, it is no longer carried on Charter cable in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
