KXTE is a modern rock radio station out of CBS Radio owned by Infinity Broadcasting Corporation. Former calls are KFBI, KUDA, KLVV.
History
KLVV began broadcasting in Las Vegas on the 107.5 frequency in May 1986.K-Love is the nickname of the station that played soft adult contemporary music for the next 2 years until November 1988.
In November 1988, KLVV changed to KUDA. "Oldies 108 FM" began broadcasting all oldies all the time.
There were also special weekend programs like "Solid Gold Scrapabook" with Norm N. Nite.
KUDA began playing more classic rock in the early 1990's before finally switching to KFBI in late 1993.
KFBI lasted only three years .
The new KXTE began airing in 1996 and played more alternative rock music.
Home to the "It Hurts When I Pee" show. (Sunday nights 10p-12a)
