KZZU, also known as 92.9 ZZU, is a Modern-leaning Top 40 outlet in Spokane, Washington. The station broadcasts at 92.9 MHz on the FM dial and has an ERP of 100 kW. They are owned by Spokane Television Group.

History

KZZU, which has been a Top 40 since 1984, shifted to its current format on October 17, 2005 and offers an Adult-leaning, Hip-Hop and recurrent/retro-free Pop direction, targeting an 18-49 audience. The decision to go that route was due to its sister station KEZE shifting to a Rhythmic Top 40 format several days earlier on October 12, 2005.

In 2005 KZZU became the only Top 40 outlet of its kind in the United States to have an all-female airstaff.

Its current slogan is "Today's Modern Hit Music."
