Kamakuza is a New Zealand term. It refers to any generic brand of cheap and unreliable equipment, especially electronic office technology.
The name developed from a series of advertisements during the 1980s for photocopiers, in which one company's product was compared to the fictional Kamakuza technology. The term has entered New Zealand vocabulary as a result of the advertising campaign.
