Kameyama, Mie

is a city located in Mie, Japan.As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 39,773 and the density of 358.22 persons per km². The total area is 111.03 km².
The city was founded on October 1, 1954.
History
The city was the castle town of Ise Kameyama-han and one of the 53 stations of Tokaido.Candle is a traditional product of the city. Sharp Corporation operates one of the world's largest LCD factories in the city since January 8, 2004.
It was merged with the former town of Seki on January 11, 2005.
