Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama

is a ward located in the southernmost part of Yokohama, newly established from Isogo-ku in May, 1948.The east of Kanazawa-ku faces Tokyo Bay, the south faces Yokosuka, Zushi, and Kamakura.
The population of Kanazawa-ku is 208,317 as of October 12004.
The symbol, established 1987, expresses the image of sea, waves, and a sea gull.
