Karl Verner

Karl (Adolf) Verner [kɑ(ː)l ˈʋaɐ̯ˀnɐ] (born 7 March, 1846 in Århus; died 5 November, 1896 in Copenhagen) was a Danish linguist. He is remembered especially for Verner's law, which he discovered in 1875.
