Keigo Asano

is a character in the anime and manga series Bleach.
He is a student at the Karakura High School, in the same class as Ichigo Kurosaki. He is a typically goofy character, often using overly-dramatic movements and words to act out his feelings. He seems to enjoy the things that stereotypical teenagers in Japan enjoy - fireworks, beach parties, etc.
Due to constant contact with Ichigo, he has gained a level of spiritual power, and, also like the other students of his class, has been subjected to some interesting encounters.
Keigo is a good-natured fellow; however, he has very bad luck with women. When Rukia comes into the scene early on, he immediately tries to hit on her. He is good friends with another student, Mizuiro Kōjima, whose success with women leaves a bad taste in Keigo's mouth. Oftentimes when Keigo wishes to do something with Mizuiro, the latter excuses himself due to prior arrangements with one (or more) women.
A classmate of Ichigo's sisters, Midoriko, has a crush on him. She likes how "he always has a little smile, even when he's alone."
In an extra chapter included in the twelfth volume of Bleach, Mizuiro states that Keigo is much smarter than his bad grades show. Keigo is a quick learner as he demonstrates by blocking a second attack from Rangiku Matsumoto who takes it personally and strikes him once again.
Recently Keigo's spiritual powers have gotten him into a deep mess, as the arrancar Grimmjow Jaggerjack has led a crusade against any human holding spiritual energies. When Ikkaku Madarame protects him from an arrancar, Keigo is coerced into letting Ikkaku and his partner, Yumichika Ayasegawa, stay at his house. Keigo's sister, the sultry Mizuho, happily welcomes them, if only because she loves Ikkaku's shaved head.
In the Bount Arc, he is attacked by the bitto, who begin to suck out his spiritual energy. They are warded off by Ichigo; it is later revealed that he can see Ichigo's shinigami form. However, Koga Gowa, the Bount who attacks Ichigo, surmises that Keigo can only see him because most of his soul has left him. However, this appears to be incorrect, because he can also see Zennosuke Kurumadani.
In the anime, Keigo's voice is performed by Konishi Katsuyuki, who is also the voice of Shūhei Hisagi.
