Kenan Sahin

Kenan Eyup Sahin, Ph.D. or Kenan Şahin is a Turkish-American scientist and entrepreneur. He received both his S.B. (1963) and Ph.D. degrees (1969) from the MIT Sloan School of Management and then taught on the faculties of MIT, Harvard, and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. In 1982, Kenan Sahin founded Kenan Systems, a company that grew to employ more than 800 people by 1999. In 1999 Kenan Systems was acquired by Lucent Technologies for $1.48 billion [link]. Kenan Sahin then became President of Lucent's Software Products Group and Vice President of Software Technology at Bell Labs. In 2002, he took over the Technology & Innovation business of Arthur D. Little, a consulting firm which was founded in Cambridge, MA in 1886 and transformed it into TIAX LLC, one of the country's leading collaborative product and technology development firms.
