Kenan Thompson

Kenan Thompson (born May 10, 1978 in Atlanta, Georgia) is an American actor who starred on Nickelodeon's All That from 1995 to 1999. He and co-star Kel Mitchell had their own spin-off Kenan & Kel which ran 1996 to 1999. He was also the host of the second season of Nickelodeon's animation showcase Oh Yeah! Cartoons.
Since 2003, Thompson has been a regular cast member on Saturday Night Live, making him the first All That graduate to appear on SNL.
Thompson has starred in two movies: Good Burger (1997), based on the All That sketch of the same name, playing Dexter Reed, and Fat Albert (2004), in which he played the title character. And has had supporting roles in the movies Love Don't Cost a Thing (2003) and Heavyweights (1995).
It is rumored that both Kenan & Kel are working on a sequel to the cult classic Good Burger, with a possible release date of 2007. Kenan Thompson confirmed it when he signed the petition on Petition Spot, saying, "I support this petition because I'm gonna tell y'all something that I should'nt be telling y'all... we are making Good Burger 2: Kurt's Revenge now! (to be released 2009)."

Saturday Night Live
In 2003, after Dean Edwards and Tracy Morgan left, Finesse Mitchell and Kenan Thompson joined the cast of Saturday Night Live as featured players. In the 2005-2006 season, they became full-fledged castmembers (with their places in the feature player credut taken by Bill Hader, Andy Samberg, and, later, Kristin Wiig). Along with Finesse, Kenan has been on the show since.

Trivia
- In 2002, Thompson recorded The Good Times Comedy CD.
- He wrote the introduction for the book Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul, as well as the short story entitled The Little Notice for Chicken Soup for the Kid's Soul.
- He was the star of the 2004 film Fat Albert, which also featured the creator of the character, Bill Cosby. Kenan is noted for his impersonation of Bill Cosby, even speaking like him when not impersonating him.
- In the United Kingdom in 1997 there was a rumor amongst fans of Kenan and Kel due to the show's cancellation that Kenan and Kel had died in a car accident. These rumors were quickly dismissed.
