The Kent Institute of Art & Design (KIAD - often pronounced phonetically as /ˈkaɪæd/) was an art school based across three campuses in the county of Kent, in the United Kingdom. It was formed by the amalgamation of three independent colleges: Maidstone Art College, Medway College of Art and Design, and Canterbury Art College. In turn KIAD merged with the Surrey Institute of Art & Design, University College on August 1 2005 to form the University College for the Creative Arts at Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham, Maidstone and Rochester.

KIAD offered further education, higher education, postgraduate and part time courses at three campuses, in Canterbury, Maidstone and Rochester.

Famous alumni include Tracey Emin. Past tutors include David Hockney, Ian Dury and Stephen Farthing FRA. Quentin Crisp was a model at the Maidstone College.
