Kerry Washington (born January 31, 1977 in Bronx, New York) is an American actress. She graduated from The George Washington University. She is best known for her breakthrough role as Ray Charles' wife Della Bea Robinson in the hit film Ray (2004). She has been engaged to actor David Moscow since October 2004. She played Alicia Masters in the 2005 live-action Fantastic Four film. Her first indie film success came with her role in "Our Song", quickly followed by her role in Save the Last Dance. Kerry has also appeared as the recurring role Chelina Hall on the ABC series Boston Legal. In 2006 she finished filming The Last King of Scotland, a fictional account of the brutal dictatorship of Idi Amin, President of Uganda from 1971 to 1979. This film is set to be released on September 27, 2006. In August 2006 Kerry will begin filming for the sequel to Fantastic Four, Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer in Vancouver, British Columbia.
