Kevin Warsh

Kevin Warsh was appointed in 2006 to the Board of Governors for the Federal Reserve by President George W. Bush. The US Senate subsequently confirmed the President's appointment. Warsh, 35, is a graduate of Stanford University and Harvard Law School.
Academic Background
Kevin Warsh received an A.B. in public policy (honors) from Stanford University in 1992 with significant course work in economics and statistics. Mr. Warsh went on to study law, economics, and regulatory policy at Harvard Law School and received a J.D. (cum laude) in 1995. He also completed course work in market economics and debt capital markets at Harvard Business School and MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
Professional Experience
From 1995 to 2002, Mr. Warsh worked for Morgan Stanley in New York, ultimately becoming a Vice President and Executive Director in the Mergers and Acquisitions Department. From 2002 to Feb. 2006, he was Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy and Executive Secretary of the National Economic Council. His primary areas of responsibility included domestic finance, banking and securities regulatory policy, and consumer protection.
