Kewanee, Missouri

Kewanee is an unincorporated community in New Madrid County, Missouri. It is located about five miles north of New Madrid about one miles west of U.S. Route 61/U.S. Route 62. The town was founded in 1910, and is named after Kewanee, Illinois, from a Winnebago tribe word for prairie chicken.
