Kim Komando is the host of an American talk radio program about computers and technology, The Kim Komando Show, which is syndicated on over 450 radio stations in the US. Komando has appeared on CNN and her syndicated column appears in USA Today and over 100 other papers. She also owns the WestStar TalkRadio Network which owns her show among others. In addition to that, Komando publishes 3 daily newsletters and a weekly newsletter.
Lifetime
Kim Komando began her career after graduating from Arizona State University with a degree in Computer Information Systems. She worked for AT&T, IBM, and Unisys before starting her radio show. When she started her radio show in 1995, she tried to pitch the idea to ABC and CBS, but was refused and was told by a CBS vice-president that computers were a fad. She began later on with 3 affiliates in Phoenix, Arizona. She started her newspaper column at the time as well, which was initially published in the Arizona Republic. Kim Komando, along with KFYI talk show host Barry Young, started a parent business for this and called it the WestStar TalkRadio Network.On May 10, 2006, Komando declared that Wikipedia is not to be trusted.
