Kimball (CTA)

Kimball is the terminus for the CTA's Brown Line. It was first built in 1906, and put into service in 1907 as part of Northwestern Elevated Railroad's Ravenswood line. It is located in the Albany Park neighborhood at 4755-57 N. Kimball Avenue. As of 2006, the 3 platforms are to be rebuilt to support 8 rail cars, ADA requirements, and Brown Line modernization. Currently, the platform support 6 cars. The current station was built in 1974.
The station that is adjacent to Kimball is Kedzie.
