Encyclopedia : K : KI : KIN : Kingdom of Fez
The Kingdom of Fez was a powerful kingdom in what is today known as Algeria, Spanish Plaza de soberanĂa and Morocco. It extended as far east as the gates of Tlemsen,(or Tlemcen), a town in northwestern Algeria. The Algerian-Morocco region was divided into two separate provinces in ancient times, Fes and Morocco, that were separated by the Bouragrag River, which empties into the sea between Rabat and Salee. Each province was governed by independent princes.
1415 lost Ceuta and Perejil island to Portugal.
1497 Spain captured Melilla, zone frontier with the Tlemsen Kingdom.
