Kirton in Lindsey is a small town and civil parish in North Lincolnshire, England, situated about 10 miles south of Scunthorpe, near the A15 road. According to the 2001 census the parish had a population of 2,694. The town is served by Kirton Lindsey railway station.

It is the site of RAF Kirton in Lindsey. Its name distinguishes it from the other Kirton in Lincolnshire, known as Kirton in Holland.

Local government

Historically in the West Riding of the Parts of Lindsey in Lincolnshire it became part of Glanford Brigg poor law union in the 19th century and thus ended up in Glanford Brigg Rural District from 1894 and then from 1974 to 1996 the Glanford district of Humberside. This became part of the North Lincolnshire in 1996.
