Kiss the Blood Off My Hands is a 1948 black-and-white thriller film, considered film noir, directed by Norman Foster.
Plot
A former prisoner of war (Lancaster) living in England, whose experiences have left him unstable and violent, gets into a bar fight resulting in Bill Saunders killing a man and fleeing. He hids out with the assistance of a nurse, Jane Wharton (Joan Fontaine), who believes his story that the killing was an accident. Soon, Saunders is involved in another fight - this time with a policeman. He ends up behind bars, but Jane, who is now in love with the man, gets him a job driving a truck delivering drugs for her medical clinic when he's released. Meanwhile, Harry Carter, who witnessed Saunders earlier killing which he's yet to be punished for, blackmails Saunders and forces him to tell the criminal about his next drug shipment. When Saunders does do the delivery, his nurse girlfried rides with him forcing Saunders to make the delivery as planned as not to get the nurse involved in his possibly dangerous theft. This betrayl of Harry Carter puts Saunder's nurse friend in even more danger.Featured cast
