Kitaamabe (北海部郡; -gun) is a district located in Oita, Japan.
As of 2003, the district has an estimated population of 12,367 and the density of 250.39 persons per km². The total area is 49.39 km².
The district dissolved on January 1, 2005 when the town of Saganoseki merged into the city of Oita.
