Jhoon Balbuena also plays drums for the band Kapatid.
Boogie Romero is also the lead guitarist of the band Dicta License, and one of the three guitarists of If Disco Is A Crime
Jorel Corpuz plays lead guitar for funk-rock band Happymeals and percussion for samba ensemble Brigada (then called Hairy Dawgs).
Kelley Mangahas plays bass guitar for Dicta License with Boogie Romero as lead guitarist.
Kjwan has been mistaken by most people for being in the genre of punk rock, screamo, metal, heavy metal and nu metal; because of their two most popular singles "Daliri" and "Twilight", with "Twilight" having a screamed line, and both tracks with noticeable metal influence. However, their debut album taken as a whole will show that Kjwan has many musical influences and that it is hard to classify Kjwan in a specific genre. Influences of metal, grunge, rock n' roll, funk, groove, alternative rock, hard rock, emo and jazz can be heard in the whole album, and also in their upcoming sophomore album.
Two-Step Marv, Kjwan's long-awaited sophomore album, "Two Step Marv", features a more mature sound that steers away from mainstream rock and into a kind of rock more influenced by jazz, funk, groove and alternative rock. The overall sound of "Two-Step Marv" can be described as alternative rock and jazz with a heavy touch.
