Kodak EasyShare
Encyclopedia : K : KO : KOD : Kodak EasyShare
Kodak EasyShare is a line of digital cameras made by Eastman Kodak Company that helped popularized the digital camera docking station. There are four sub-product lines, "series", that separate the cameras into different classes: EASYSHARE Point and Shoot, EASYSHARE High Zoom, EASYSHARE Pocket, and EASYSHARE Performance. Some newer EasyShare camera models come with an easyshare button that activates the Kodak EasyShare software when plugged into a computer.
Software
[EasyShare Software] is used to transfer and catalog images from Easyshare camera models and can also be used with existing images. It also serves as the print ordering and online album manager and has some limited photo enhancement capabilities. The updater component of the software is powered by BackWeb, sometimes concerning for its spyware associations, though said to be benign in this case.
In version 6 of EasyShare software, the Bonjour software component from Apple is installed for remote service discovery, though serves no useful purpose for older models and removal using "Add & remove programs" is possible without impeding functionality.
