Koga (古河市; -shi) is a city located in Ibaraki, Japan.
Old City of Koga
The city was founded on August 1, 1950.On September 12, 2005, the city merged with Sanwa and Souwa to create the new city of Koga.
New City of Koga
The new city hall is now located at the former town of Souwa.As of 2005, the new city has an estimated population of 145,268. The total area is 123.58 km².
