The Kokuhonsha (国本社) was a Japanese secret society founded in 1924. It was founded by General Sadao Araki (荒木 貞夫) and Kiichiro Hiranuma (平沼 騏一郎). Its members were some of the most powerful generals, admirals and civilians, dedicated to the Kōdōha (Imperial Way) nationalist doctrine. It is said that this organization covertly took part in the February 26 Incident.
The Kokuhonsha was dissolved by Allied occupation authorities in 1945. Its leaders were arrested on charges of war crimes and put on trial at the International Military Tribunal for the Far East.
