Kugaaruk, Nunavut

Kugaaruk (Syllabics: ᑳᒑᕐᑭᓪ) formerly known as Pelly Bay until 3 December, 1999) is located on the shore of Gulf of Boothia in Canada's Nunavut Territory. Access is by air and by annual supply sea-lift. Kugaaruk means "a river flowing through the community that is used for fishing and drinking".
Population is 605 according to the 2001 Census.
It is the location of the Coldest Windchill Recorded in Canada which was -92.3°C (-134.1°F).[link]
