Kui the Horseclaw

Kui the Horseclaw is a huge flightless riding bird, the female mate of Kai, in the fantasy manga Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, created by Hayao Miyazaki. She is the faithful mount of Yupa. When Kai is killed, Kui lays their egg.
