Kurt Loder

Kurt Loder (born May 5, 1945 in New Jersey) is an American journalist, writer, and author. He is probably best known for serving as editor at Rolling Stone magazine (to this day, he continues to serve as a contributing editor). Prior to Rolling Stone, Loder worked for Circus magazine and before that, he served three years in the U.S. Army.
He joined MTV in 1988 as the host of their flagship music news program, The Week in Rock (and later, MTV News: 1515). Currently, he is an anchor and correspondent for MTV News.
Loder is the author of Bat Chain Puller, a collection of his work for Rolling Stone, and co-author of singer Tina Turner's autobiography I, Tina.
Loder is originally from New Jersey, but resides in New York City.
