Kwasizabantu (also Kwa Sizabantu) is the name of a Christian fundamentalist sect originating in South Africa, but also active in Germany and Switzerland. Offhsoots of the sects are the missions Christians for Truth and the Domino Servite schools.
Founded by Erlo Stegen (born 1935 near Durban) in 1971, based in a Natal village called Kwa Sizabantu (Zulu for "place of help for people") which became the movement's eponym. The movement emphasizes glossolalia and miraculous healings as well as confession and atonement of sins. According to reports by former members, Stegens claims to be directly guided by God, via channelling by his assistant, Hilda Dube.
Members are subject to a set of rules, known as the "Standard", which includes prescriptions on clothing, prohibition of jewellery and makeup and strict a ban of communication between engaged couples.
Kwasizabantu collaborated with South African authorities during Apartheid, denouncing the repentant ANC militants.
The "Domine Servite" schools engaged in corporal punishment and routinely tested female students' virginity after holidays.
