LOVE COOK is Ai Otsuka's third album. The 4th track, "SMILY" and the 10th track, "Planetarium", were the first two ever Ai Otsuka singles to reach #1 on Oricon Weekly Singles Chart, and both have sold in excess of 300k copies. Planetarium is a feature image insert song for the live-action drama Hana Yori Dango.
LOVE COOK was released as 4 versions. CD only, CD + DVD, CD + Photobook, CD + Picture Book. CD + Photobook and CD + Picture Book are both limited to 150, 000 copies.
This album has sold 800,366 copies so far, and is Ai Otsuka's best-selling album to date. It's Ai's first album to sell over 700k and first album to sell over 800k. It passed 800k mark once the LOVE [99] COOK Tour starts.
On March 9, LOVE COOK won an award at the Japan Gold Disc Awards for being one of the best albums of 2005.
