La Mosquitia

The La Mosquitia region contains the whole northeastern part of Honduras. This is a very undeveloped region of tropical rainforest, and lacks roads. It is inhabited by various Miskito Indians, including the Pech, Rama, Sumu and the Tawahka. It contains the Río Plátano Biosphere Reserve.
