Encyclopedia : L : LA : LAN : Landscape manager
Landscape managers are professionally qualified experts in the management of landscapes for conservation and recreation. They work on designed landscapes (eg public parks, gardens and golf courses) and on natural landscapes (eg nature reserves, natural parks and national parks). The UK Landscape Institute has a landscape management division and its members describe themselves as landscape architects. There are undergraduate degree programmes leading to qualifications in landscape management and membership of professional institutes.
