History
Lassiter High School was established in 1981 and has over 2100 students in attendance. It was awarded the Georgia Public School of Excellence in 1992 and 1999. In 2000, it was named a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.Lassiter Band Program
The Lassiter High School Marching Trojan Band won the Bands of America Grand Nationals in 1998 and 2002. It placed third in 1994. In 1999 and 2004, it was invited to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving parade. They had also performed in the Tournament of Roses Newyear's parade in 2001 and 2005 (the 102nd and 106th). The program also includes symphonic bands as well as many ensembles.Lassiter Sports
The Lassiter High School Lacrosse Team won the 2006 GHSA Lacrosse Championship, beating The Lovett School 17-8. In 2006, the Lassiter High School Baseball Team won the AAAAA Georgia State Baseball Championship by beating Kell High School 10-9, 9-5.
