Latin Grammy Awards

The Latin Grammy Awards were launched in 2000 with a telecast aired on CBS. It was the first primarily Spanish-language prime-time program carried on network television. Like the Grammy Awards, the Latin Grammys recognize artistic and technical excellence in the recording arts and sciences by peer vote (Latin GRAMMY Awards Process). It has already come to represent the height of achievement in Latin recording.
Soraya won the 2004 Latin Grammy Awards for Best Songwriting.
The 2005 Latin Grammy Awards were held on Thursday, November 3rd. The show was televised on Univision at 7pm.
