Lepakshi is a small temple town located in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is 9 miles from Hindupur town and 3 hrs from Bangalore. Lepakshi is famous for its sculptures, which were created by the artisans of Vijayanagara empire. A huge Nandi (cow) made out of a single stone is one of the attractions in Lepakshi.
