Lexical Relations
A linguitic term discusses the relations between words in the speech. For exapmle, in describing word conceal, one might describe it "as the same as hide". In doing so, one is charaterizing the meaning of a word in terms of its relationship to other words. This precedure has been used in the semantic description of language and is known as the analysis of lexical relations. Types of lexical relations include: synomomy, antonomy, hyponymy, polysemy, homonymy, metonymy and collocation.
