Lidcombe railway station is a major junction station on the CityRail network. It has 5 platforms: four for ordinary suburban services, and one for the shuttle between Lidcombe and Olympic Park - officially Platform 0 but known simply as the 'Olympic Park Sprint Platform'. Three lifts facilitate Easy Access for wheelchairs.

Clearways project

The Clearways project intends to untangle the various lines, and Lidcombe station will receive an extra platform for terminating City via Bankstown and Berala trains. This will segregate the Inner West line from the Bankstown line.
