Light beer
Encyclopedia : L : LI : LIG : Light beer
Light beer, sometimes known as lite beer, is a beer with generally lower alcohol content than its non-light counterpart and has fewer calories and lower carbohydrate gramms. Light beers are generally produced by adding carbonated water to regular beer.
Light beers are often criticized by beer connoisseurs for their lack of flavor/taste and being "watered down". Popular light beers in the United States include Bud Light, Miller Lite, and Coors Lite. People looking for fewer calories, carb grams and less alcohol in a beer often prefer light beer.
