Lilo Pelekai is a fictional character, the other half of the duo primarily featured in the Lilo & Stitch films and television program. She is a Hawaiian girl who lives with her older sister Nani and an extended family of alien visitors marooned on Earth.
Her spirited and highly eccentric personality — especially in light of her parents' death — has somewhat alienated her from her fellow children, yet Lilo makes the perfect best friend for Stitch, an alien experiment whom she adopts as her dog. Lilo attends Hula school and her hobbies include photography, talking about creatures from horror/sci-fi movies, and capturing and rehabilitating Jumba's evil genetic experiments.
Not much is known about Lilo's parents other than that they died in a car crash, and apart from a photograph Lilo keeps under her pillow, there have been no appearances of them. This means that Lilo and Nani are, thus far, the only known living members of the Pelekai family.
Throughout the series, Lilo has had a crush on Keoni Jameson. It is unsure if she is still crushing on him, as in the Lilo & Stitch: The Series episode , Lilo denied it, though this could be to placate her sister.
Lilo's age depends on episode/film. In the first film she's 5 going on 6, in Stitch has a Glitch and Stitch! The Movie she's 7. A Disney Adventures comic and "Amnesio" both are birthday parties and it is unknown which one's her eighth birthday and which one's her ninth. In Leroy & Stitch she is almost 10. The series takes place over a time period of three years.
