Only six species of reptiles breed naturally in Great Britain: three snakes and three lizards. They are:
- Adder Vipera berus
- Grass Snake Natrix natrix
- Smooth Snake Coronella austriaca
- Slow-worm Anguis fragilis
- Common Lizard Zootoca vivipara
- Sand Lizard Lacerta agilis
- Leatherback Sea Turtle, Dermochelys coriacea
- Green Sea Turtle, Chelonia mydas
- Hawksbill, Eretmochelys imbricata
- Loggerhead Sea Turtle, Caretta caretta
- Kemp's Ridley, Lepidochelys kempii
