List of Coptic Popes
Encyclopedia : L : LI : LIS : List of Coptic Popes
The following is a list of all the Coptic Popes who have led the Coptic Orthodox Church since the Council of Chalcedon. The Coptic Orthodox Church is a member of the Oriental Orthodox churches, not to be mistaken with the Eastern Orthodox group of churches. The Coptic Orthodox Church has its own Pope (or Patriarch), who is currently His Holiness Pope Shenouda III, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark.
For the Patriarchs of Alexandria prior to the schism, see List of Patriarchs of Alexandria. For the patriarchs of the Eastern Orthodox church after the split with the Oriental Orthodox church, see List of Orthodox Patriarchs of Alexandria.
